Description: Each year, after submitting a list of candidates to the Dominican Week Organizing Committee, members of the Diaspora who deserve to be honored with an award for having excelled in an area of activity, are selected. The event includes a formal ceremony and a final cocktail in which some typical products of the Dominican Republic are presented for tasting. Members of the government, congressional and other public institutions, multilateral organizations and diplomatic missions, plus entrepreneurs and professionals, involved with the Dominican Republic, attend this event.

Description: The authors of “Doing Business” will present the results of the 2017 report. They will identify the obstacles R.D. faces and how other countries in Latin America deal with similar obstacles, to improve the indicators and the process of collecting information for annual reports. Will be provided with best practices at the regional level and how to pursue these. The objective of this session is to have a frank, and “to the point” discussion on how the Dominican delegation can work towards a positive impact on the DR score and ranking.
